Why Volunteers are Needed
We  need  your  help  more than ever to fulfill the world’s needs for spiritual support.  Sadly,
due to current lacking of  proper  ministerial  presence  and  support,  many  people  are  left
feeling  alone  and  uncared  for  in their times of greatest need.  This longing for support and
guidance in turn, can often times cause these poor souls to turn to various  unhealthy  and even
dangerous outlets such as drugs,  violence  and  even suicide as a  means  of  coping  with
their situations.

The harvest is plentiful and the workers are few.  Many are called but few are chosen –

•
To search for the lost, broken, hurt, sick, dying, and sinner and invite them to come –
       just as they are.
 (Mt. 9:12-13)

•        To make ready a people prepared for the soon coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus
        Christ
(Lk. 1:17)

It  is  up  to  each and every one of us both as Christians,  and as humans to help our countries
and  our  communities  to  maintain their faith in these troubled times,  heal their wounds,  and
help them to continue to grow stronger through God.  By  simply  becoming actively involved in
the IDOC’s mission to provide positive, empowering ministry to those in times of need, it could
be  you  that  helps  the  next person in need achieve a renewed sense of self,  community,  and
belief in God’s grace through Jesus Christ.

JOINING THE IDOC
One  does  not need to be a minister to serve in the IDOC.  While  some
Disciples of Christ are ordained ministers, there is a place in the IDOC
for  any  Christian  who  has  a desire to serve and utilize their existing
talents and abilities.

The  International Disciples of Christ is a Volunteer organization,  committed to following the Lord
as Disciples of Christ,  by  going out and making new disciples,  baptizing,  teaching,  preaching  and
ministering to souls of every nation.  Reaching out and helping to alleviate human suffering wherever
there is a need.

Membership in the IDOC is open to Clergy and Laity alike.  Regardless of ministerial background –
if  you’re  interesting  in helping others in their time of need,  and  preparing the way  for  the soon
coming of the Lord – the  IDOC  has a place  for  you  to  serve.  You  need  only  be  a  born-again
Christian,  believe  in  the  Bible  as the inspired word of God, committed and ready to pick up your
cross and follow Him as His disciple, and have a desire to help others.

All  our members are volunteers and work without compensation.  Volunteers are needed to assist in
every country of the world.  If you are interested in taking the gospel to the people of your nation,
and  helping  others  in their time of need,  regardless of any prior ministerial training you may,  or
may not have, the IDOC has a place for you to serve.

The  IDOC  will  provide  training  to  all  members,  so  that  they  will  be equipped to go forth as
“Disciples of Christ.”  They will be  equipped, trained,  blessed,  anointed,  and  commissioned to  go
into all the world!
